Our N/ATION Review:
The third of our Kit NA reviews to round out their core portfolio (see links to our prior reviews, below), we take the opportunity to sample perhaps Kit’s most authentic offering, the New England born and brewed Here We Go Hazy IPA. This Portland, Maine brewer focuses exclusively on non-alcoholic beers, while additionally their head brewer Will Fisher owns Austin Street Brewery, a “leaded” brewery that’s also based in this east coast beer town that’s home to nearly 30 breweries. For more on the Kit NA story, listen to our podcast interview with founders Will Fisher and Rob Barrett.
First impressions of Here We Go, brewed with Idaho 7, Simcoe and El Dorado hops were its light, hazy golden color, consistent with the style. Very subtle hops, which were detectable in the aromas, but not overpowering. There’s a bit of bite in the finish, but no real bitterness to speak of, making for an IPA that is of the easy-drinking variety. Overall, this is a crushable, but still flavorful NA beer that has a lot of versatility.
As for where you can find it, at the current time Kit NA is distributed throughout much of New England, along with the east coast down through Georgia. They’re growing, so it might be best to use their Beer Finder for the most up-to-date details.
