Founder Story

Non-alcoholic beer first became meaningful for me in the midst of some lifestyle realities that I think many can relate to, starting with approaching middle age. Now on the back side of my forties, I begrudgingly came to the understanding that alcohol just hit me different in terms of impacting my sleep, hydration, and overall energy, especially when I did so in the middle of a work week. As an avid runner I’d always kept my fitness level high, but no longer was that enough to do whatever else I wanted, within reason. Then, in early 2021 I experienced a health event that ultimately resulted in three surgeries in less than two years, which officially re-calibrated my definition of managing personal health. It also led to my discovery of non-alcoholic beer and AF beverages of all stripes, and I quickly became hooked.

There are many good reasons to drink N/A, whether it’s to pursue moderation (I still have an occasional alcoholic drink myself), manage calorie intake, or due to a pregnancy, interactions with medicines, or in recovery from an unsafe relationship with alcohol.
