Our N/ATION Review:

Born and bred in the Carolinas, Ceebo was created with the belief that anyone should be able to enjoy a tasty and refreshing beverage in the company of others, without feeling the pressure to imbibe that so often goes with it. With its Southern roots, Ceebo (a play on ‘placebo’) was carefully crafted in Tarboro, North Carolina at the Tarboro Brewing Company, which just so happens to be the hometown of the founder, Kyle Alligood, as well.

Ceebo’s flagship offering is called “The Classic”, conjuring images of a refreshing and crisp malt beverage, but also endless, hot summer days in the Carolinas with a beer in your hand. Modeled after a German-style pilsner, our first impressions of the brew were its light golden color, and effervescent carbonation on the initial pour. First tastes were clean and smooth with virtually no bitterness, and an easy drinking finish that could lead you to easily quaff down quite a few. Which, even if you did, at only 55 calories per 12 ounce can is not something you’ll need to worry about. This is a brew that could be consumed as a solo N/A for the night, but also easily swapped in for a fully-leaded beer as an alternative, perhaps at the end of the night when you want to avoid that morning hangover.

So where can you find these Southern-inspired near beers? Currently available in both North and South Carolina, with online distribution through their website to 44 states, where available by law.
