Our N/ATION Review:
In January, 2024, it was announced that Corona Cero, the global version of Corona’s non-alcoholic beer, would be the global beer sponsor of the Olympic Games, a partnership that will include not only the 2024 Paris Games, but stretch until the 2028 Summer Games when the worldwide sporting competition returns to Los Angeles, a timeframe that will also include the 2026 Winter Games in Milan, Italy. And no, Corona Cero isn’t just the non-alcoholic beer partner, but the only official beer sponsor, leaded or otherwise. Astonishingly, the unprecedented brand partnership is the first-ever beer sponsorship of the Games at a worldwide level in history.
The flavor profile of the U.S. version of the Corona Cero lager is a familiar one to any Corona drinker. Crisp, refreshing taste in the mouthfeel, accompanied by hints of citrus in the finish. With less than .5% ABV, it comes in at a scant 60 calories (56 for the global 0.0 version), just over a third of its fully-leaded original that clocks in at 148 calories. And much like the original, it would almost be criminal to enjoy it without the familiar wedge of lime that is ubiquitous with the brand.
As for where you can find Corona Non-Alcoholic Beer, with extensive distribution it is one of the most easily found non-alcoholic beers in the country. Most major grocery stores, liquor stores, or specialty beer stores are likely to carry it, most commonly in a six pack of the highly recognizable clear bottles.
