Our N/ATION Review:

The folks at Tripleswitch Brewing are the creators of a (still) rare to find, zero-alcohol near beer product infused with hemp-derived THC and CBD. Based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, their portfolio currently includes three options; a Mexican-style cerveza, a classic IPA, and the Hazy IPA, which is what we sampled. Each have an equal dose of 5mg of Delta 9 THC with the same amount of CBD for an entourage effect. The can label calls out “Switching ABV For Infused”.

Made with a curated blend of Bravo, Cascade, Mosaic and Citra hops, our first impressions of the Tripleswitch Hazy IPA from the pour were that it felt like any real beer with alcohol. Nice tight foam on the head, medium body, and a cloudy coloring as you’d expect of the style. Lots of carbonation. Also consistent of the style was a very subtle bitterness, and we got some distinct notes of sweetness as well, both of which were welcomed. All in all, this is an exciting, innovative malt beverage option for hopheads looking for that alcohol-alternative.
