Our N/ATION Review:
Launched during the 55th annual running of the Peachtree Road Race, an iconic Atlanta tradition since 1970, Runner’s High Brewing launched as a non-alcoholic brewery brand in 2024 by Tilray Brands, owner of such iconic craft staples as Shock Top, Green Flash, Breckenridge, Blue Point, and Atlanta’s own Sweetwater Brewery. The company primarily known as a cannabis leader has been slowly buying up craft breweries since 2021. The initial portfolio for Runner’s High includes three flavor profiles - Dark Chocolate, Raspberry Golden, and Golden Wheat.
We first sampled the Golden Wheat non-alcoholic beer, which at first impression pours just a tad darker out of the can for the style than you might expect, but with an aroma that certainly fits the profile. In the mouthfeel, there’s definitely a clean bitter taste, with hints of pine needles, grapefruit, and a zest of orange citrus that defines many craft wheat beers made in the U.S. We’d consider this to be more of a medium-bodied golden, which suited us just fine, as perhaps the 90 calories is indicative of. A terrific addition to a growing array of non-alcoholic wheat beers now on the market.
As for where you can find Runner’s High Brewing, as of this writing the brand is currently in limited release in the Atlanta area, where it has made its way into many specialty beer and package stores, as well as some area run clubs. Look for further announcements regarding future availability.
