Our N/ATION Review:

In what was one of the most anticipated non-alcoholic beer launches of recent times, Bend, Oregon’s Deschutes Brewery reportedly spent five full years of R&D, along with about $5 million in investment, before officially getting into the burgeoning NA scene. The brewery started with two near beers to start their non-alcoholic portfolio, mirroring two of the most popular beers from this Pacific Northwest icon in the fully-leaded world; Fresh Squeezed IPA, and Black Butte.

Working with patented BrewVo technology from Sustainable Beverage Technologies, Deschutes’ Fresh Squeezed IPA NA, along with its non-alcoholic cousin, both utilize cutting-edge technology that doesn’t sacrifice on flavor. The Fresh Squeezed IPA NA pours a dark golden color from the can, with good aromas and a solid, foamy head. Brewed with IPA-experienced Citra and Mosaic hops, the beer is full-flavored and juicy, just like the original, with hints of orange and passionfruit in the finish. If you’re a fan of the OG, you’ll probably be happy with the result of that half decade in the research lab chasing perfection.

As for where you can find it, Deschutes enjoys national distribution across all fifty states and parts of western Canada. Look for it in supermarkets, or in specialty beverage stores all over.
