Our N/ATION Review:

Athletic Brewing Company continues to churn out non-alcoholic brews of virtually all varieties, as they continue their expansion and rise as one of the top craft beer producers in the U.S. The Fruit Stand series, as the name implies, is a lineup of seasonal, fruity beers brought to you by the non-alcoholic brewing leader. Their selection of fruit-flavored sours is much anticipated, and typically don’t last very long on the market. Here we sample two of those near beers, the Athletic Tropical Sour, and their Athletic Blackberry Berliner Weisse style brew.

Blackberry Berliner Weisse

As you might expect, this one pours in a darker, grape-like color reflective of the blackberry. Not quite as tart as we were expecting, the fruit is definitely present but doesn’t knock you over. A bit of wheat in the finish brings the back-end in balance, settling down the experience. A really flavorful brew that still lets you know it’s a beer.

Tropical Sour

A yellowish, golden hue in color, the Tropical Sour is a smooth, sweet, and aromatic sour that delivers flavors of mango and passionfruit through to the finish. It also has a smooth, almost syrupy quality with a tartness that lingers in the mouthfeel. This beer is exploding with tropical savors that last from beginning to the end of the experience.

As to where you can find these Fruit Stand Series brews from Athletic (which for 2024 also included a Raspberry Sour) in the wild, best to visit their website or follow their socials in the summertime.
