Our N/ATION Review:

Portland, Maine’s Eighteen Twenty Brewing Company is the brainchild of Robin and Alan Lapoint, both veterans of the beverage industry having co-owned the Strainrite Company, as well as Portland’s Geary Brewing prior to Eighteen Twenty. Founded in late 2022, this entirely non-alcoholic line has a mix of craft styles and flavors to suit anyone’s taste buds, made with a commitment to sustainability as well as as a representation of their home state of Maine.

While there are boatloads of craft NA IPAs on the market today, there are decidedly less American Pale Ales, so we were excited to crack open a Peek Interest. With a light golden brown color on the pour, Peek starts with light notes of pine and citrus, made from Simcoe, Citra, Centennial, Cascade & El Dorado hops. On the mouthfeel we found a beer that felt like a great happy medium between the many lighter as well as more hop-forward beers on the NA market. With just enough bitterness to be true to its APA style, there was also a hop fruitiness that hit the spot for us.

As for where you can find Peek Interest in the wild, the best option is to find some on their website, where they will ship to at least 43 states as of this writing.
